Bio & Background

Mr. Haag began his career in 2010 at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, in Crane, IN. Since beginning his career, he has held multiple engineering and leadership positions within the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department and now the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department.

In 2025, Mr. Haag was appointed the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division project Lead for the Drone Dominance Initiative. In this role. Mr. Haag is responsible for leading NSWC Crane’s efforts in supporting the Test Resource Management Center’s test strategy for the Drone Dominance Program and executing the program’s acquisition plan.

Prior to serving as the Drone Dominance Lead at NSWC Crane, Mr. Haag served as a Branch Manager in the Maneuver, Surveillance and Engagement Division, JXW (2019-2025). As a Branch Manager, Mr. Haag was responsible for the development of the workforce, effective execution of workload, and providing support and services to assigned customers. He identified resources needs, provided team leadership, strategy, and oversight of multiple projects within the branch. Much of the workload focused on development and fielding of Counter Unmanned Systems (CUxS) for the Navy.

Prior to his selection as a Branch Manager, Mr. Haag served as a Section Manager within the Maritime Electro-Optics Branch where he was responsible for overseeing several projects including USCG Multi Sensor Program, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s Electro-Optic Infrared program, Combatant Craft Forward Looking Infrared Program, Griffin Missile System’s Electro-Optic Infrared system, and the Patrol Coastal Electro-Optic Infrared program. Mr. Haag has also previously served in several Task Manager roles within the Electro-Optics Technology Division where he was responsible for project execution, acquisition planning, and shipboard installations.

Mr. Haag is a native of Washington, Indiana, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Mr. Haag received a Master’s in Public Affairs from Indiana University in 2020.
