Bio & Background

Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Limeberry serves as the Rapid Assessment of Prototype Technology Readiness (RAPTR) Joint Task Force Commander of the for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research & Engineering. He is also traditionally assigned as a senior member of the Joint Forces Headquarters within the Indiana Army National Guard.
Lieutenant Colonel Limeberry is a student in the United States Army War College Distance Education Program (Class of 2026), set to graduate June 2026. He is actively enrolled in a Master of Public Administration Program at Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science and Math with minors in Psychology and Military Science from Indiana University-Indianapolis.

Before his current parallel assignments, he supported Operation Joint Guardian as the Senior Military Advisor to the Commander of Kosovo Forces (KFOR), Major General Angelo Ristuccia (ITA). Previous non-command assignments include service as 638th MI Battalion Platoon Leader, Aide-de-Camp to Indiana National Guard Adjutant General, Indiana National Guard State Partnership Program Director, Intelligence Targeting Officer, Collection Management Chief, and ACE Chief within 38th ID G2, Intelligence Operations Officer in 38th ID, Battalion S2 of 2-151 Light Infantry, Battalion S3 of the Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (IRDO), Senior Intelligence Advisor attached to Joint Special Operations Command Afghanistan, Executive Officer of the Mission Training Complex-Atterbury within Army National Guard G3 Training Division, S2 of 76th IBCT, and G3 of 81st Troop Command.

He enlisted in the Army as a Combat Medic in 2003, then received his commission in 2006 as a Military Intelligence Officer from Indiana University-Indianapolis ROTC Program. He is a graduate of Fort Sill Basic Officer Leader Course, Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Command and General Staff College, and Advanced Operations Course.

Lieutenant Colonel Limeberry resides in Greenwood, Indiana, with his high school sweetheart (Jessica) and their four sons (Bryson-18, Cohen-14, Grady-13, Adler-11).
