Bio & Background
Major General (Ret.) Dale Lyles served more than 38 years in the United States Army and Indiana National Guard, including five years as the Adjutant General of Indiana from 2019 to 2025. In that role, he commanded over 12,000 soldiers and airmen and oversaw Indiana’s major military training installations, including Camp Atterbury and the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.
A Ranger-qualified infantry officer and Bronze Star recipient, General Lyles deployed in support of operations in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Today, he continues to support Indiana’s defense and innovation ecosystem, helping advance the state’s leadership in unmanned systems, advanced manufacturing, and national security technology development.
